Advanced Surgical and Radiation Treatment

Each patient who comes to the PinnacleHealth Cancer Institute for brain tumor treatment receives customized care from our experienced and compassionate staff. From diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, we create a personalized plan designed for your unique needs.

About Our Program

Our physicians and support staff have years of experience treating both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancer) brain tumors. This gives us a level of expertise and experience that results in more successful outcomes for many brain tumor patients.

Every year in the United States about 17,000 people are diagnosed with brain cancer that originated in the brain. These are called primary brain cancers. Another 100,000 people are diagnosed with cancer of the brain or spinal cord that spread (metastasized) from another place in the body. These are called secondary brain cancers. At the PinnacleHealth Cancer Institute we offer treatment options for both conditions.

We offer:

  • Advanced surgical techniques to avoid damage to critical areas.
  • The CyberKnife® Robotic Radiosurgery System. A non-invasive alternative to surgery for the treatment of both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors
  • Advanced radiation techniques that target the tumor while sparing surrounding tissue
  • Team approach to brain tumor care
  • Brain Tumor Board, a regular meeting of specialists where physicians collaboratively review your case
